I agree with you Charlie, when you say that a fan should never boo their team or any individuals on it. I guess it was ok in the case of Kevin Brown. :o Mary, if having you sent to NY will help the Yanks, then you should be traded immediately! You can crash at Jeter's crib for a while. He has an apt in Trump Tower. You could use the change of environment. :D

Boston Globe columnist Pat Oliphant had a nasty brain aneurysm and he's been doing fine for a while now. So there might be hope.

That's right - and he wrote quite a column about it afterwards. Is it something in the water in Bahstin?

Ha! Found it! This is Oliphant's column from last year in June when he made his comeback...

That's a pretty powerful piece, save for the Bush remarks... ;)

Well, it was written during the Terri Schiavo brouhaha, and I think, having just "come back" he had a point of view that most people in that position are no longer able to express. He is an op/ed columnist, but I really posted it not to offend anyone's politics but to have the point of someone who had experienced the aneurysm. He was lucky in that his syptoms spread over several days and he still survived.
I heard part of hour 3 while I ran errands after work, and Tim Kurkjian said Peter G can remember his name and birthfy, knows his wife, etc. All excellent signs.

If you want to root for a low A minor league team, the Atlanta Braves always have empty seats at the game.

Nice Atlanta Logo Chipper Mike. Did GFM give it to you?

Upon further review, that Logo is the Danville Braves, similar to The Richmond Braves.

They apparently don't have a shortstop at any level. All the news is that with the trade of Perez, the fire sale will begin. What a shame for The Tribe.

Kinston is about 1.5 hours from where i live. When the Durham Bulls were Atlanta's single A affiliate, I saw Manny Ramirez playing with Kinston.
