angels v yankees

yankees in 6

Phillies v dodgers

phillies in 5

P.S. a week ago, I kind of picked the WS matchup to be the Cardinals v Yankees, so I'm already down to just one team left

TBS et al are very upset that the Div Series only went 10 games instead of the maximum possible 20 - lost lots of ad revenue!

Great job by the Phillie's last night! I was hoping that they wouldn't have go to extra innings and they sure came through. Well done!

Well, the article I read used the figure 20 so I assumed they meant having each series go the maximum 5 games before moving on to the LCS level. But maybe the thought of hearing Joe and Tim just has me discombobulated. ???

ok the Phillies half of my prediction is good (phillies in 5) ... now if I can get the Angels to force the Yankees to go back home to win (game 6) then I'll be looking like some kind of visionary (which I am not).

Congratulations on having another winning team in Philadelphia Bruce. I know Harry is looking down and is very proud.

I'm so glad that they won last year so Harry got a chance to call a Phillies World Series winning game. Harry and Whitey (Richie Ashburn) did not get to call the 1980 World Series game on radio, back then MLB had all the media rights to broadcast the World Series, both radio and TV, and had their own broadcast team. I have the last half inning of last years game 5 radio play-by-play call on my computer desktop, and listen to it every so often, it's really kind of strange because Chris Wheeler pretty much just sat back and listened to Harry make the call also ... he didn't see much reason to add color, he also just wanted to hear Harry make the call.

I've been betting against the Phils, since I know the odds of repeating as WS champion, but it would be nice to hear the Phils start a new tradition in the booth, and hear Larry Anderson and Scott Franze call their first radio Phillies deciding WS game. I'd still have to bet against it though.

Nice work Bruce. Steinbrenner's Yankees came through.
